[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

I photographed this nice fern, Asplenium trichomanes, the maidenhair spleenwort on the stonewall of Castle Ffrench. This species seems as common here in Ireland as in my home country, Hungary, on wet rocks, stonewalls etc.

Photo: made in shutter priority mode to ensure the optimal exposure, but tried to work with as wide aperture as possible (managed to open to f/4.5) to mish-mash the background as much as possible. PP: level adjustment, selective sharpening after re-sizing.

I hope you'll like the pic, although it isn't about wonderful color palette.

Hello László

The focus of the subjects (flowers) is excellent
with the sharpness and details, the light is beautiful,
but I don't know if you could at that moment
take another POV, because it is the large area
of the background blur that it is having the
attraction of my eyes instead of the focused subjects, TFS

Hello László,
I like the way you framed the subject and the colours perspective as well as the tonal variations.
Thanks and best regards,

Hi Wladek,
very interesting photo from Ireland. Are you there only for a trip or for a longer time?
Nice composition and presentation. Amazing green tones.
Thanks for sharing,

Hello Laslo,

Hi Laszlo, this is very common in my country too, isn't the top of spectacle to see,but i like your way to show us this specie in a magic and original decentralized composition, whit the besr focus below and the blurred others in background to create a very nice perspective.Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hello László.

Well spotted creepers on the stone wall. The creeper makes excellent natural decor with beautiful texture and details.
Thanks and have a nice day.

Hello László,
This small species of fern is also found in the S. half of Sweden if you know where to look for it.
Nice capture of one frond taken with fine sharpness and a good DOF to emphasise it against others in the BG. Interesting composition!
Thanks and best regards.

Hi, dear Laszlo.
You have solved your task very well. You managed to achieve an impressive blurriness if the BG and nice details of the main subject. In our stepper I did not meet similar species. Nice presentation. TFS and warm regards.
