[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Dear Trekkers,

After the trip to Mizen Head last week, today I'd like to lift you to another hidden / unknown beauty of South-West Ireland, the Gleninchaquin Forest Park, located in the Beara peninsula, neighbouring the same-named ranch (farm). The area's privately owned, which means there's a small fee, including guiding and whole day parking. You can choose from several walking paths, from which the longest needs 7 hours to complete. Even I chose a medium level walk, the trip was unforgettable due to the natural beauty of the area - I even found and photographed fungi which I've only seen on expositions before. The subject of the current pic is the Inchaquin Waterfall, the main attraction of the forest park.

Although Gleninchaquin is not achievable easily (after leaving the main road R571 you have to drive ca. 5 kilometres on a very narrow - one-car-wide - farm road), I strongly advise everyone to visit it if you're here in Ireland.

Photo: taken in manual exposure mode; PP: level adjustment, enhancing the sky a little, than the usual conversion to the TN-standard.

Thanks for looking and commenting.

Hello Laszlo,
What a beautiful looking area, no wonder they always associate the color green with Ireland. My wife would love the waterfalls, we have to stop at every one we come close to when traveling. Focus is sharp and colors rich yet natural looking. The overall composition is quite eye catching. I have some friends from church who just left for Ireland a few months ago, I would love to visit this beautiful country someday.
