[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi Trekkers,

An early-summer image in the European winter... I photographed this lotus field on the sand dunes of Inch, a famous holiday resort in county Kerry, Ireland. The lotus on the pic is a common "weed" (better said plant with ruderal life strategy) named bird's-foot trefoil (Lotus corniculatus). On the workshop photo you can see a wider perspective with the lotus bunch.

Tech: I used manual exposure mode and macro lens. PP included moderate cropping, adjusting highlights/shadows and colors, selective sharpening on the flower in focus.

Thanks for looking and commenting.

Hi Laszlo,2 beautiful pics with the same DOF. A great close up whit impressive sharpness on the main flowers and a lovely blurred background with the other,i like a lot the large view of the WS made in the same way. A specie very common in my country, but very small too and not easy to take so well, great work! Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Hello Laszlo,
What a wonderful presentation of these Birds-foot Trefoil flowering plants. We have them growing here in Ohio, but they are all yellow with no red color to the petals. The group in the left foreground are truly spectacular. I believe I can even smell their aroma through my computer screen:) The WS image is wonderful also, like a carpet of beautiful blooms.

Hello Laszlo,
Beautiful macro in nice colors and excellent sharpness. Good DOF and an attractive composition.

Peter

Hi Laszlo,
Nice to see these beautiful Birds-Foot Trefoil flowers. Gorgeous coulrs, no doubt. Well exposure as well as sharpness.
But, to me it's not interesting at all if you compare this picture with your WS picture. You have mentioned your picture as 'Lotus Field'. But do I have such wider view which you have given in your WS picture to see the 'Field'?
You have done perfect (in my opinion) in your WS picture, taking it wide shooting angle, instead of capturing a bunch of blooms. Here I couldn't feel the 'FIELD'. I like your WS picture, the way you have given more importance on stretches foreground and also a part of sky.
Thanks for sharing,
Best regards and have a nice WE,
Srikumar

P.S - Thanks for your appreciation on my last picture.

Hi Laszlo

Since you posted a very good view of field in WS, it should be better to isolate more or less the main subject from BG to catch the eye on its details. The sharpness is excellent and also detail, very beautiful natural colors.

Hello László

Reading Srikumar's critic I also love much more the WS photo than this one,
because of the wide angle, to appreciate the scenery and the flowers, TFS
