It's A Long Way To Tipperary
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|It's A Long Way To Tipperary, as the song says. It is, really: this is the 1st image in the history of TrekNature registered in that county.|
Last Sunday I had the chance to go hillwalking to a territory which was new to me: the Knockmealdown Mountains located in the counties Waterford and Tipperary. I made this photo while walking to the Sugarloaf Hill (662 meters asl.), just standing on the county border, about the lake named Bay Lough, with the snowy summits of the Galty Mountains in the background.
Tech talk: photo was taken in manual exposure mode, PP: level adjustment, enhancing sky and luminance.
Thanks for looking at the image, and for not forgetting me in the past couple of weeks when I wasn't able to participate due to accomodation change and temporary lack of broadband internet again.

Hi Laszlo,it's very curious to know that this is the 1st pic from there, maybe there aren't interesting butterflies or birds to take...ehehe....but the view is fantastic,i know very well the song and this is a great tribute,to the musici and to the place too, well done as usual...welcome back with your new internet connection, and thanks,Luciano
You have captured the bluest of Blue in its true sense. The lake looks so very inviting, the lush green valley, the snow capped hills beckons any traveler. Thanks for sharing such a lovely image.
Although I don't know the song but like this landscape. 4 layers different colour composition looks good. Well placed that lake. Clearly visible touch of snow.
Just foreground looks bit under exposed, in my view. Light was good at the time of clicking; 1/1300, f/5 and even in ISO 100.
Otherwise beautiful work with interplay of light and shade,
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice week :-)

What a nicely composed shot of this new area to TN. You have presented to us a lovely mountain range with a beautiful green valley. The gorgeous blue water of the lake has a glistening look to it, how pretty. The snow capped peaks are the icing on the cake, like a fine painting which should be hanging on a wall. Well done!!
The wideness of the area is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the beautiful scenery. The good luminosity is bringing out the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.
