I had 2 minds about posting this picture. It was one of the first I took on my new camera back in September, a couple of days after I bought it.

I wasn't really happy about the OE in the top right hand corner, but have decided to post it anyway becuase I have not had chance to process anymore of my summer holiday pictures.

I like the picture becuase it is one of those "B&W" shots that is actually colour which I have quite a few of now, and also for the light and colour of the light some time after dawn/sunrise.

I don't like the OE in the right hand side, and would liked to have included more sky, but there was not really anymore that could be included becuase of the worsening OE.

Still I thought I would post it to see what miracles anyone wanting to create a WS could do with it.

The colours are real, which is why I took the picture that morning. I can't remember if I used a graduated Neutral Denisty (ND) filter. If I did, I'm guessing I did not use the 0.9ND grad and should probably have. My only excuse was that this was a the height of my illness and I was probably not thinking clearly.

I have used a 2nd layer at -1EV to recover a little of the detail and then a layer mask just to use the darker version in the OE area, to lessen its effect.

Anyhow - What are your thoughts, good or bad. A Workshop is attached which has more sky.

Thanks
Emma

This is not intended to be a perfect solution, particularly for posting on TN, but perhaps legitimate for one's personal use. I wanted the tree and the wonderful layers to be the focus of attention so revealed a bit more detail in those layers. I then cropped out most all of the OE area and did just a touch of cloning.
