Moon over Murrays Bay

This is the full moon last night at 5.57pm. It was taken from my front window of the moon through the Pohutukawa trees on our boundary, about 45 minutes after moon-rise. I got some very distorted shapes, but this one came out the best. I changed it to black / white, as the green in the leaves didnít show too much. And this was the only photo that showed the trees at all.

I have posted a photo in Workshop taken at 5.36pm. I missed the actual moon-rise at about 5.15pm, but managed to get this shot about 20 minutes later on as it was rising over Motutapu Island and the edge of Rangitoto in the Hauraki Gulf. It was shining quite spectacularly on the glistening waters.

This is 15 minutes after the moon rose - Yes, I missed it again! The islands in the BG are Motutapu on the left, and Rangitoto on the right.
