My next Chestnut Heath this time on the needles of a pine. The Chestnut Heath (Coenonympha glycerion) is a butterfly species belonging to the family Nymphalidae. It can be found in Eastern Europe and temperate parts of Asia. The butterflies fly in one generation from June to August. The larvae feed on various grasses.
