Strange As Bird's Milk (34)
|Strange As Bird's Milk|
Today I wanted to share another pic, but had the strangest experience on TrekNature ever. A few days ago I tried to help a young Hungarian user with ID specification and critique. But got an arrogant reply - this is the first time ever I see a sulky feedback to a positive comment. I even bookmarked the photo as one of my faves. Seems like it wasn't enough to the user.
For the user's request I translated my critique to English. You can read it here if interested.
And why I chose this plant, Ornithogalum umbellatum? Because this was featured on the user's photo.
Not rare in Hungary, in fields and bright deciduous forests / parks. ID specification's easy due to the greenish outer side of the petals (see workshop). Blossoming in April - May here. The genus name, both in Latin and Hungarian language ("madártej") means "bird milk".
Photo was taken in a field near Bükkszentkereszt village, on ca. 600 meters asl. PP: moderate cropping, noise reduction, selective sharpening, framing, signing, re-sizing. WS photo was done in a park in Miskolc, where this plant lives wildly.
Thanx for stopping by and commenting, and from now be careful to write positive critiques to the user mates, especially to new ones...
