 Xylaria polymorpha (12) Hormon_Manyer
(10251) | Hi Trekkers,
A photo from my trip today, in my beloved Glenbower Woods, one of those rare Irish forests which is somehow similar to the ones at home in Hungary. The species on the image is Dead moll's fingers (Xylaria longipes Nitschke), widespread and more or less frequent in Eurasia and North America, new in my gallery.
Photo: shot with flash, in manual exposure mode, ISO and white balance. PP: moderate cropping, slight level andd color adjustment, after re-sizing noise reduction and selective re-sharpening. More fruitbodies in the workshop.
Thanks for looking.
Update: after further investigation, the stromas on the photo belong to the species Xylaria polymorpha (Pers.) Grev., common English name Dead Man's Fingers. Excuse me for the misidentification. |
