Hello Africa! (12)
|"Hello, welcome to Africa" - said this huge fellow and lifted their left arm to greet me. At least this was my thought when I first saw this scene, with the tree-alike evergreen stem succulent Candelabra Spurge (Euphorbia candelabrum Trémaux ex Kotschy). This species is native to East Africa (Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan, Kenya etc.) and is often planted, sometimes growing in the wild in the Canaries. I found this specimen near Degollada de la Yegua viewpoint. |
Photo: shot in manual exposure mode, with ISO 80, f/6.3 and 1/60 sec. PP included adjusting luminosity and colors, re-sharpening the spurge after re-sizing the pic to the TN standard. Workshop (photographed in a botanic garden) shows some fully mature specimens for size comparison.
Thanks for looking.
