Peek-a-boo (8)
flagman
(2408)
This photo was taken on a dive somewhere in the North Male Atoll, near Meerufenfushi, while on my holiday there. I don't know the species of the fish. A few years before this photo, most of the hard coral in the maldives was killed off by el nino, which raised the temperature of the water too high for the coral to live. As you can see, some have started to grow back.

I first reduced brightness (-9) and increased contrast (+15), then I used shadow/highlight to increase density of the light tone. I cropped the image to make the fish bigger and to put it off center. Finally I slightly increased sharpness (Gain=100; Radius=0.7).

Sharpening

I used a unsharp mast to get the picture more sharp and then used the photoshop function "shadows & highlights" to even out the lighting in the picture. This makes the harsh flash less obvious I think. At last i decreased the saturation as the shadows function increased the colors a bit.
Hope it helps!
