Workshop Note
Mountain Blues and Ringlets may often be seen gathering in numbers on wet spots, and dung is even more attractive.

Here one more blue has squeezed in between, forcing the ringlet to close its wings rather than giving way.

The Blues:
Polyommatus eros (Ochsenheimer 1808)

The Ringlet:
Erebia cassioides (Reiner & Hochenwarth 1792)

Location:
Hohe Tauern National Park, Grossglockner, ascent to Glorerhütte, at an elevation of 2200m.

The Camera:
SONY DSC-H5, 3072 x 2304 pixel, sRGB, 16mm, F/4, 1/400 sec., ISO-125; 23.08.2006, 11:28. Hand held, no flash.
